Chris Lee

 

Director Chris Lee is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport (CMILT) and has over 30 years observing, analysing, and helping to enhance the bus industry.

 

Chris Lee holds the following qualifications:

 

  • National & International CPC in Passenger Transport (Transport Manager’s CPC)
  • CQI/IRCA Qualification as a Lead Auditor
  • Prince 2 Project Management

 

And has the following industry experience:

 

Over 15 years in Project Management

 

Project Management Team Leader for TfL’s bus infrastructure portfolio managing the design and maintenance of 50 bus stations and 150 bus stands.

Projects included:

Hammersmith Lower Bus Station:

Detailed design, construction, safety audit rework and opening of the lower site of Hammersmith bus station.

Victoria Bus Station:

Upgrade of Victoria Underground station (the pedestrian tunnels of which lie approx 3m below the main bus station) required significant reconfiguration of the bus station and temporary bus stand provision on a ‘rolling’ basis whilst works progressed. This required major negotiations with London Underground and their contractors to ensure that bus services and associated infrastructure was maintained.

London Bridge Bus Station – relocation:

Alteration of bus station to reposition site by approx 20m to allow foundations for the Shard Tower to be laid. This required complete reconfiguration of the bus station over a 12 month period. The bus station remained operational 24 hrs/day whilst bordered by the Shard construction site 20m to the east, a demolition site 20m south and the Borough Viaduct Thameslink railway bridge replacement scheme 10m to the west.

London Bridge Bus Station – rotation:

The creation of the new London Bridge Quarter required further reconfiguration and rotation of the bus station.

Operations and General Manager for Canterbury Park & Ride and other Council operated services.

 

Transport Manager for a variety of start up coach companies and medium sized fleets

 

Regular Lecturer on bus infrastructure design for PTRC, the Training arm of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT).

 

Bus co-ordinator on rail replacement services and operations.

 

Chris has also been a bus driver on rural and urban services.
